"Restrained and elegant, the wine offers subtle notes of strawberry, grapefruit and apple on the nose, followed by a finely textured palate that is taut and lingering. A lovely dry rosé offering delicate fruit flavours with subtle savoury nuances."

About the wine:

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat and Pinenc grape varieties. It has a pale pink tinge with salmon reflections, it exudes a fine predominantly floral nose and notes of red fruit. The mouthfeel is lively and fresh, accompanied by citrus flavors on the finish. This is ideal as an aperitif with a plate of tapas, with seasonal salads and summer grills, spicy or Asian dishes.

About Plaimont Producteurs:

The vineyards of the Saint Mont appellation in the South West corner of France are equidistant between Bordeaux, Bayonne and Toulouse. In the mid-1970s André Dubosc, a third-generation wine grower, set out to build up the reputation of the wines from their region of South-West France. He and other passionate young winegrowers revived the Saint Mont appellation. In 1979, they decided to strengthen their foothold by uniting their wine cellars and estates. And so they set up the Plaimont union of cooperatives (“Pl” for Plaisance, “Ai” for Aignan and “Mont” for Saint Mont). From the outset, Plaimont acquired the region’s finest châteaux and estates to rebuild those iconic vineyards and give a new impetus to the region. The cooperative includes 10 chateaux, involves 800 wine growing families tending 5,300 hectares of planting, with an average of 5 to 8 hectares per wine maker.
