Chateau Léoube Rosé 2017
In the Provence region spanning four kilometres along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea are the vineyards of Chateau Léoube. Here the vines sit on heavy, rocky soils amongst olive trees and wild herbs, and enjoy the cooling sea breeze that defines the character of this delicate and stylish rosé wine.
A blend of four grape varieties (Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourèdre) the vines are grown organically using biodynamic principles. With the greatest care taken at harvest, the grapes are picked by hand and gently pressed to create the pale salmon-pink colour.
With aromas of mint the freshness in the nose is reflected on the palate with the character of the sea giving a slight salty end note. This luscious rosé is very well-rounded, harmonious and lively. The understated elegance makes this a very sophisticated Provence rosé wine.
Ideal before dinner, a perfect accompaniment to seafood, barbecued vegetables, spicy dishes, and also matches well with the cheeseboard or dessert.
